Little Willie Center Week
The Little Willie Center will be hosting Little Willie Center Week May 11-17, 2016. We are asking all supporters to help us bring awareness to our program and support our Community Activities. We are asking current and new supporters to advocate for our services we have provided to Pitt County for over 28 years by making a $100.00 contribution. Your gift is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible!

  • Wed - Making A Difference Wednesday. We will recognize our volunteers and have open house at the Little Willie Center
  • Thu - Make Someone Smile Thursday. We will be making door hangers for the Ronald McDonald House.
  • Fri - Family & Friends Fellowship Banquet. This will be held at Gateway Christian Center, Pastor Barbara Delano in Winterville NC.
  • Sat - Lending a Helping Hand Saturday. All families and children will be attending Kid's Day at the Food Bank from 10a-12p.
  • Sun - Unity in Strength Sunday. All families of the center, staff and BOD of the center will attend service at Living Faith Apostalic, Apostle Bobby and Elaine Holloway at 11a to fellowship and show our appreciation of them opening their church up for the LWC.
  • Mon - Dare to Care Monday. Families will be making care packages and delivering them to Community Crossroads Center.
  • Tue - Time to Share Ice Cream Social. Fun day for the LWC children.

Rabies Vaccines free to all Pitt County cats and dogs! West Greenville Residents qualify for free Distemper vaccines and sign up for free Spay/Neuter surgeries.

Pickle Willie at Peer Learning Visit
We are excited to see you in Greenville this Thursday, November 5, for our Peer Learning Visit featuring the Little Willie Center’s “Pickle Willie” project!

Sign-in begins at 9:30 am, and the presentation begins at 10 am. The event will be held at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church’s Family Life Center, located at 1095 Allen Rd, Greenville, NC 27834. Dress is casual, and lunch will be provided.

If you already make a canned/pickled product and want to share samples during our taste test, feel free to bring a jar!

  • 9:30-10: Registration
  • 10- 10:15 - Introduction, Welcome
  • 10:15 – 10:45: Overview of the Little Willie Center & Pickle Willie Project
  • 10:45 – 11:45: Food Safety Certification: led by Allison Sain, NCSU Food Safety
  • 11:45 – 12:30: lunch (provided)
  • 12:30 – 12:45: Overview of the pickling process
  • 12:45 – 1:30 – Hands-on pickling activity
  • 1:30 – 2:00 – Pickle Taste Test, Pickled Products Brainstorm
  • 2:00 - send off!
